The Museum of African American History in Boston is “New England’s largest museum dedicated to preserving, conserving and interpreting the contributions of African Americans.” The designs shown were created for the MAAH exhibitions “The Emancipation Proclamation: A Pragmatic Compromise” and “Selections from the Collection.” The creative standee accompanies The Imposing Stone used in production of The Liberator, a weekly Boston abolitionist newspaper published by William Lloyd Garrison.
